Balephi River Fishing

Balephi River, a narrow but rapid, is a whitewater river that offers fishing and rafting. A new fishing destination in the 17 km long tributaries of Bhote Koshi provides regular fishing. Balephi River begins from Langtang and other Himal from the Langtang region. For rafting, the starting point is Chanute, and for fishing, every spot is available.

 

Located 73 km from Kathmandu, the river has become a weekend trip for fishing enthusiasts from the valley and the surrounding areas. The area is accessible via four-wheelers and two-wheelers with regularly running public buses.

 

The best time to go fishing on the Balephi river is in October, November, and February to May. The area is quite alluring after the summer is over. With few resorts in the area, the tiny villages – Jalbire and Balephi, also gets recognition dure to regular fishing and have made Balephi fishing quite famous.
