Annapurna Base Camp (Annapurna Sanctuary)

Annapurna Base Camp (ABC), one of the most popular base camps in Nepal for trekking, lies at an altitude of 4,130 m elevation from sea level in the Annapurna region of Gandaki Province.

 

Commonly known as Annapurna Sanctuary, the ABC region falls under protected areas and is one of the most beautiful sanctuaries in the world that protects flora, fauna, ethnic culture, and land. Annapurna Sanctuary, an oval-shaped plateau, covered with Annapurna Mountains, has a unique terrain.

 

Covering the remote traditional villages, exceeding lush green growing along with panoramic views of majestic snowcapped mountains, ABC trekking region journey begins from Pokhara, and trekking begins from Birethanti through the foothills of Annapurna and ends through the diverse villages of ethnic groups Magar, Thakali, and Gurung.

 

The star attractions of the route are the alley of rhododendron woodland, delightful villages, clouds meeting mountains, and suspense in every step, and you can cover entire things within a week to 11 days. A funnel-shaped valley, ABC has the panoramic inspection of marvelous Annapurna South, Annapurna I – tenth highest mountain peak in the world, Tent Peak, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail Peak), and some other alluring mountain peaks.
