Dhampus

Dhampus, situated 25.5 km away from Pokhara via Baglung Marga, lies in Kaski District of Gandaki Province of Nepal. Located at an altitude of 1,650 m, Dhampus is a beautiful village that acts as a scenic viewpoint of panoramas of Annapurna and Machhapuchhre range, Dhaulagiri (7th highest peak in the world), and Manaslu (8th highest mountain in the world).

 

A gateway to several trekking routes like Mardi Base Camp, Australian Base Camp, Annapurna Base Camp, etc., Dhampus village welcomes locals of Pokhara for small celebrations, or camping, and tourists who are on their trekking trails.

 

With several small houses, this village is home to Gurung people in the majority. Very good at welcoming tourists, Gurung people in this village are friendly and enjoy showering warm hospitality.
