Bushwalking or Hiking

Bushwalking or hiking is defined as walking for recreational or health benefits for a single day to multiple days around the hill regions or through the alley of bushes. Hiking is one of the most popular activities one can be part of while in Nepal. Because of the geographical structure of Nepal, different hiking destinations are full of adventures.

 

Hiking is a beneficial activity for mind and body, used for recreational or wander purposes. It requires no special equipment, and a simple pair of hiking shoes and stick will take you to all kinds of hikes. Bushwalking is not about the destination but the journey itself. Hiking becomes more exciting when different natural structures like waterfalls, lakes, forests, rivers, and pristine views. It is the easiest way to escape from the routine in a busy city.

 

Bushwalking can be exciting and adventurous with different other activities included jungle safari, water rafting, swimming in the river, hot spring, etc. One can go on different kinds of hiking depending on what activities one wants to add to the trip, how long it should be, and what regions of Nepal.

 

There are several hiking purposes like spiritual, cultural, wildlife safari, historical, sightseeing, birdwatching, sunrise or sunset viewing, etc. Adding different activities on the hiking trail makes it more exciting and fun-filled and informative.

 

There are several hiking destinations from Kathmandu valley that can be achieved within 6 to 8 hours. Nagarkot, Chisapani, Sundaijal, etc. are some popular hiking destinations from the valley that receive many hikers every day. Other hiking destinations in a different part of the country are Balthali, Sarangkot, etc.
